What we Offer
Ace of Nines was founded in 2019 as a platform to provide bespoke online tuition to students across the globe.
What started off as a passion project has evolved in to a team of experienced and qualified tutors accommodating for various age-groups, curricula, subjects and exam boards—with particular specialisation for students at Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level.

Who we Are
——— Professional ———Driven to Teach
——— Productive ———At Ace of Nines, we focus on tailored tuition in its most effective form: 1-to-1 and small-group sessions built around mastery learning (i.e. filling gaps in understanding rather than just speeding through course content), applying theory in context and refining exam technique. This is The A9 Mindset and it is what sets us apart.
In our last Open Session, we discussed the above, along with performing a live demonstration; be sure to check it out!
Carefully created and curated content make up an integral part of the tailored programs we deliver to students—capitalising on time between lessons and varying learning styles to clarify and reinforce key concepts.
As an example, ready-to-print summary sheets (like the ones shown here) give students a concise and comprehensive source of reference, and are used within lessons to tie theory with exam-practice.

Do you offer in-person tuition?
Ace of Nines specialises in the provision of online tuition; we understand this may not suit all students (particularly those at Key Stage 2 or younger), so we encourage parents to speak to us about a no-commitment trial lesson to assess whether online tuition will be effective on a case-by-case basis.
What exam boards do you cover?
Our tutors have experience with AQA, OCR, Edexcel (regular and international) and Cambridge International. For more information, check with us regarding your stage of study (e.g. GCSE or A-Level) and subject(s) of interest.
Can you support home-schooling?
Yes! Lessons are tailored to support both home-schooled and traditionally-schooled students.
How much do lessons cost?
Hourly rates vary significantly depending on various factors such as stage of study (e.g. GCSE or A-Level), type of tuition (1-to-1 or small-group), subject(s), number of hours per week, family discounts etc.; get in touch with us for a personalised quote.
Note: As a general rule, group rates tend to be around half the price of 1-to-1 rates.
When should I start?
Don't leave things to the last minute! An ideal time to begin tuition would be during the summer period—when students tend to have more time available and can focus on getting a head start going in to the following academic year.
Starting earlier in the year also means an increased likelihood of being able to join/form small-group classes, which can help reduce costs.
My exams are close, is it too late?
Maybe... Our tutors can work on a tailored intensive program with you to prepare you for your upcoming exams, but you need to be ready to work extremely hard to see change at this stage!
Do you set homework?
Yes, although we try to keep it from becoming burdensome considering our students' other commitments.
Can I tutor with Ace of Nines?
Why not? If you have the relevant experience, we'd love for you to join the team!
